Ontario Minister Visits Arche Capital to Advance Canada-China Collaboration

Toronto, February 13, 2018 – Ontario’s Minister of Research, Innovation, and Universities, Reza Moridi, visited the Toronto headquarters of Arche Capital for strategic discussions on advancing Canada-China technological partnerships. Accompanying him were senior officials from the ministry, welcomed by Arche Capital’s executive team, including Co-Founder Dr. Steven Rothman, Partner Dr. Alan Tam, and Dr. Youzhi Tang, Co-Chair of the Canada-China Technology Alliance and a leading environmental scientist.

Minister Moridi elaborated on Ontario’s innovation policy framework, highlighting emerging opportunities for cross-border collaboration in artificial intelligence and clean technology. He remarked, “Ontario, as the second-largest innovation hub in North America, aims to collaborate with organizations like Arche Capital to establish the ‘Polaris Corridor,’ connecting Canada’s research excellence with China’s industrialization capacity.”

Arche Capital disclosed plans to establish specialized cross-border accelerators and innovation parks in both Canada and China to further enhance bilateral cooperation in science and technology.
