Nanjing, November 2, 2010 – Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty led a delegation of 45 government officials and entrepreneurs to Nanjing to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the partnership between Jiangsu Province and Ontario. During the event, Premier McGuinty and Jiangsu representatives signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Further Strengthening Friendly Exchanges and Cooperation, outlining plans to deepen collaboration in education, tourism, media, and clean energy over the next five years.

As a key highlight of the celebrations, Premier McGuinty participated in the launch ceremony of Arche Capital’s International New Energy Research Center. This milestone marks a new phase in green technology collaboration between the two provinces. At the ceremony, Premier McGuinty emphasized Ontario’s policy advantages in clean energy and expressed the province’s commitment to sharing technological resources with Jiangsu to jointly address global climate change challenges and foster growth in the green sector.

The partnership also underscores the growing integration of cross-border capital and technology. Arche Capital, a long-standing player in Canada-China energy investments, has facilitated multiple low-carbon technology collaborations through its environmental fund projects, setting a benchmark for future cross-border green initiatives.
