[September 23, 2025 – Toronto] Arche Capital hosted its latest Arche Dialogue session at the historic Yonge Street Manor (Glenmaura) in Toronto, bringing together financial leaders and strategic thinkers from Canada and China for a high-level exchange on Asset Transformation in the Age of Economic Maturity.
The event featured keynote speaker Dai Wei, Chairman of the newly restructured Founder Group, alongside senior representatives from Arche Capital, Dr. Song Yijun (Commercial Counsellor at the Canadian Embassy in China), Lu Yuan (CEO of ICBC Canada), and other cross border financial executives. The discussion focused on how global capital can adapt to shifting economic paradigms through value reconstruction and operational innovation.
Dai Wei shared insights into one of China's largest nonfinancial mergers: the RMB 72.5 billion acquisition that led to the rebirth of Founder Group under Ping An Group's full ownership. He emphasised that as China's economy enters a phase of stock-based growth, distressed assets are emerging as key sources of untapped value.

He also introduced a practical framework for asset transformation, including the Three Factor Discount Model (liquidity, cyclicality, management) and the Four Asset Archetypes (ice pop, apple, chick, root carving), offering operational strategies for unlocking hidden value. Case studies such as the turnaround of Boya Hotel and the revitalisation of industrial printing operations illustrated how targeted management can reshape underperforming assets into strategic capital.
Dai Wei's career spans leadership roles at Ping An Bank and Ping An Trust, following his early tenure at ICBC Jiangsu. He holds a master’s degree in economics from Macquarie University in Australia and is recognised for his strategic depth and cross border expertise in corporate restructuring. In 2024, Dai Wei was awarded the Coronation Pin of King Charles III, presented by Canadian Senator Victor Oh.

Arche Capital described the event as part of its ongoing Arche Dialogue initiative, which aims to foster professional insight and cross-cultural understanding through high level conversations. In an era defined by uncertainty, the firm advocates for value driven investment strategies that combine deep analysis with bold execution.
Yonge Street Manor (Glenmaura), known for its blend of classical architecture and modern spirit, served as a fitting venue for this exchange of global perspectives. Arche Dialogue continues to position Toronto as a hub for financial thought leadership and multicultural collaboration.
As global markets navigate the transition from expansion driven economies to mature, efficiency focused frameworks, the insights shared at this gathering underscore the importance of strategic foresight and cross border cooperation. Arche Capital remains committed to facilitating meaningful dialogue that bridges international markets and generates actionable intelligence for investors seeking sustainable value creation. The success of this session reinforces Toronto's growing prominence as a centre for sophisticated financial discourse and a gateway for capital flows between East and West.
